This project was met with the following challenges:
1) Provide a proper septic system for residential use

2) Adhere to strict regulations for waterfront residents

3) Meet the challenge of extremely limited space

This property finds itself tight against the lower end of a dam off Elk Lake. The residence itself has little available property as it hugs it's neighbor's land tightly and has a small front yard.

An aerobic treatment septic system with drip distribution drainfield was installed at the furthest available edge of the front yard, still allowing for useable yard space and minimizing unsightliness. This eliminated the need for the homeowner to install a holding tank.
The drainage field was spread over the rest of the front lawn, away from the dam, and into the driveway area, optimizing the available space and liveability of the residence, while also solving the issue of being near the public watersource.
